Children's Dentistry

Your children's dental health is important, and that's why we recommend that you begin regular dental visits as early as two-years-old.

A child's teeth develop quickly and require special care, and our friendly staff works hard to create an atmosphere to support your child's comfort, safety and overall happiness. We offer gentle, non-invasive children's dental care to make each and every visit easy and pain-free. We aim to provide both you and your child with the information necessary to develop sustainable dental hygiene habits that will carry on long into adulthood.

Children require unique treatments to maintain a healthy and vibrant smile. Early visits allow us to determine a comprehensive, long-term course of action best-suited to your child's individual dental needs as well as the opportunity to tackle potential problems before they have the chance to occur.

By utilizing modern technology, we can easily and safely determine the state of your child's teeth and accurately gauge future growth and development. This also allows us to spot the likelihood of future decay and disease and make recommendations on how best to prevent them.

Drs. Hudepohl and Kozan and their team want to ensure that your children have the best dental care possible. Our office provides its patients with years of hands-on experience and skilled technicians who treat children's teeth on a daily basis. Our gentle, caring staff knows how difficult it can be for children to undergo dental procedures and that's why we treat each and every child delicately and with the respect they deserve.

Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend you schedule your child's first dental visit as early his or her first birthday.

This initial visit, though typically short and involving little-to-no treatment, allows you to learn about your children's oral health and how to prevent problems from arising in the future. Our goal is to partner with you to give your child the gift of good oral health for the rest of their life. This begins with an opportunity to identify potential concerns. We will also provide diet and home care advice suited to your child's unique needs.

Your child's dental health is important to us, and that's why we've provided a few simple ways you can help your child maintain a healthy, clean and vibrant smile for years to come.

Create good habits at an early age. Showing your child the proper ways to use a toothbrush, floss and toothpaste and montioring their at-home dental care can instill a strong, long-lasting foundation for the future of your child's oral health.

Set an example for your child. Keeping up with your own dental health is a good way to demonstrate to your child how important good dental health really is. Brushing with your child can increase his/her interest in the behavior and help to make it more fun, as well as set a standard that's both safe and easy to follow.

Good nutrition also plays an key role in your child's overall oral health. The implementation of a nutritional, low-sugar diet can help to reduce the risk of gum diease and the possibility of more serious and costly oral ailments down the road.
